Alan Taylor, the founding partner, is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales, New Zealand and Hong Kong. Alan has over forty years experience, primarily in the area of commercial litigation and arbitration. He has extensive international experience, having worked on disputes in Hong Kong, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the US, New Zealand, Malaysia, Russia, Ukraine, Italy and the Middle East. He has a wealth of knowledge in banking and financial services litigation, including documentary credits. Alan is a member of the Supreme Court User Committee and an experienced Privy Council agent. He has experience in advising in extradition issues. Alan is a former president of the New Zealand Society. Out of the office, he enjoys cycling, playing the euphonium and spending time with his family.
Jacqui Burke Partner
Jacqui is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. Jacqui has over twenty years experience acting for UK and overseas clients, primarily in commercial litigation and nationality and domicile issues. Out of the office, Jacqui enjoys singing and spending time with her family. Jacqui has an MA (Canon Law) (Dist.)
Stephen Carter Consultant
Stephen Carter is a specialist in property law. He has over 25 years experience in general commercial property, residential property, property finance and dealing with property in insolvency situations. He gained much of his experience in the London and Hong Kong offices of international law firm Stephenson Harwood and in the London offices of Watson Farley & Williams.
Stephen’s interests include most sports and spending time with his family.
Steffan Taylor Solicitor
Steffan graduated in 2012 with an honours degree in law from the University of East Anglia. While a trainee, he completed the Legal Practice Course part-time at the University of Law, and graduated with commendation in July 2014.
Steffan assists with all practices area in the firm including litigation, commercial, personal injury and clinical negligence, assessment of costs, insolvency, Privy Council appeals and probate matters. He is experienced in the County Court and High Court.
Steffan is a director of his local youth and community centre and sits regularly on the management committee. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, playing squash, good food and quality drink.
