Alan Taylor, the founding partner, is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales, New Zealand and Hong Kong. Alan has over forty years experience, primarily in the area of commercial litigation and arbitration. He has extensive international experience, having worked on disputes in Hong Kong, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the US, New Zealand, Malaysia, Russia, Ukraine, Italy and the Middle East. He has a wealth of knowledge in banking and financial services litigation, including documentary credits. He has experience in advising in extradition issues. Alan is a former president of the New Zealand Society. Out of the office, he enjoys cycling, playing the euphonium and spending time with his family.
Jacqui Burke Partner
Jacqui is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. Jacqui has over twenty years experience acting for UK and overseas clients, primarily in commercial litigation and nationality and domicile issues. Out of the office, Jacqui enjoys singing and spending time with her family. Jacqui holds the following qualification: LLB (Hons); MA (Dist.); MSt (Oxon) (Dist.).
Stephen Carter Consultant
Stephen Carter is a specialist in property law. He has over 25 years experience in general commercial property, residential property, property finance and dealing with property in insolvency situations. He gained much of his experience in the London and Hong Kong offices of international law firm Stephenson Harwood and in the London offices of Watson Farley & Williams.
Stephen’s interests include most sports and spending time with his family.
Steffan Taylor Solicitor
Steffan qualified in 2015 and has been with the firm since 2012. He graduated with an honours degree in law from the University of East Anglia and subsequently completed the Legal Practice Course in 2014.
Steffan's practice areas include litigation, commercial, insolvency, probate and Privy Council appeals. He is an experienced Privy Council agent and sits on the Supreme Court and Privy Council User Group, providing input on revisions to the Rules and Practice Directions.
Steffan has been director of his local youth and community centre since 2015 and sits regularly on the management committee, along with chairing its youth club subcommittee. In his spare time he enjoys road cycling and learning about wine.
